Alabama baseball saw three players selected in the 2025 MLB Draft.

Riley Quick, Kade Snell and Richie Bonomolo, Jr. all heard their names called over the span of the two-day event.

Coming off the board first for the Crimson Tide was starting pitcher Riley Quick. The right-handed pitcher finished his lone full season with Alabama with an 8-3 record and 3.92 ERA. Quick was selected by the Minnesota Twins with the 36th overall pick. Falling out of the first round and into the Competitive Balance Round A selections, Quick’s slot value for the 36th selection is $2,692,000.

Quick began his career with Alabama in 2023 as a relief pitcher, where he excelled in the role; however, transitioning into a starter was in his near future. In 2024, Quick was slotted to join the Crimson Tide starting rotation, but Tommy John surgery would end his season. Bouncing back in 2025, Quick led the team in strikeouts, earning Second Team All-SEC honors as the Alabama ace.

The next Crimson Tide player to hear his name called was Alabama captain Kade Snell. The Alabama outfielder was selected in the 5th round by the Chicago Cubs with the 151st overall pick. Snell earned First Team All-SEC honors, hitting .363 while hitting 10 home runs and 52 runs batted in.

Alabama’s third and final pick of the 2025 MLB Draft was Richie Bonomolo, Jr. The Crimson Tide center fielder was selected in the 7th round by the New York Yankees with the 224th overall pick. The slot value for the 224th pick is $252,000. Bonomolo hit for a .311 batting average while recording 27 extra base hits.
