KENNEWICK, Wash. – Two local baseball talents have made their mark in this year’s Major League Baseball draft.
Danny Dickinson, a standout from Kennewick High, was chosen in the 6th round by the Milwaukee Brewers. Known for his hitting prowess and resilience, Dickinson played through a broken hand to help LSU secure a national title.
Payton Graham, a Kamiakin graduate, was selected in the 7th round by the St. Louis Cardinals. Despite an arm injury that affected his 2025 season, Graham’s impressive velocity caught the Cardinals’ attention.
Both players have joined the National League Central Division, sparking curiosity about a potential Kennewick vs. Kamiakin rivalry on the big stage.
While neither player will start in the Northwest League, they may still have opportunities to shine in front of their hometown fans in the future.
