ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – Two-time NCAA Baseball National Champion and former Midland Legacy standout Chase Shores was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the second round of the MLB Draft on Sunday.
The 6′8′ Shores finished his career at LSU with a 5-4 record with a 4.39 earned run average.
Shores missed the 2024 season due to an injury. In his return in 2025, he appeared in 23 games, nine starts.
At the time of the draft the Angels were in fourth place in the American League West.
