GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – Colorado Mesa Mavericks Pitcher Andrew Pogue has reportedly signed as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Tigers, according to CMU Athletics.
Pogue, a graduate transfer from Illinois, posted a 5.03 ERA, along with a 3-1 record in his lone season in Grand Junction, with a save.
The Peoria, Ill. native allowed 19 runs in total this last season, with 35 strikeouts, and allowed just 18 walks and 28 hits.
Pogue now joins the six other CMU Alumni competing in some level of Major or Minor League Baseball.
