SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A special night for Arizona Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte at the All-Star game Tuesday was ruined when his Scottsdale home was burglarized.
Police confirmed the crime happened sometime in the evening at his home near 64th Street and Shea Boulevard. Officers say somebody broke into the house and stole “numerous personal items,” including jewelry.
No one was home at the time. No arrests have been made, and it’s an active investigation, police said.
In Atlanta, Marte was a starter at second base for the National League, where he hit a double in the first inning, driving in the NL’s first two runs.
