Watertown Post 17 secured a series sweep over Brookings Post 74, clinching a 7-3 victory in game two on Wednesday afternoon at Watertown Stadium. The win followed Post 17’s 3-0 shutout triumph in game one on Tuesday night, with the second game rescheduled due to weather.

Watertown capitalized on five errors committed by the Brookings Bandits to secure the decisive game two win.

Kaden Rylance was a key offensive force for the Arrows, collecting two hits and driving in three runs. Nathan Briggs and Hayden Ries also contributed significantly with two hits each in the contest. On the mound, Talan Jurgens delivered a complete-game performance, earning the win by allowing just three runs on four hits while striking out four batters.

With this series sweep, Watertown’s record now stands at 31-25 overall and 20-13 in league play. Post 17 will next head West River for upcoming games, facing Sturgis on Thursday and Spearfish on Friday.
