PADUCAH, KY — After going undrafted in the 2025 MLB Draft, former Murray State Racer Jonathan Hogart has signed a free agent deal with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Hogart becomes the second Racer to join the Phillies organization this year, after junior catcher Will Vierling was drafted by Philadelphia in the 11th round of this year MLB Draft.

The Madisonville, KY native became arguably the Racers best player this season in the leadoff spot. Hogart’s 22 home runs tied a school record, with 8 of them coming in postseason play.

Hogart was also second on the team in RBI’s with 65, second in hits with 88, first in runs scored with 80, and first in on base percentage at 1.146.

Following Murray State’s run to the College World Series, Hogart was named a 3rd team All-American.
