Chase Field crowd cheers DBacks’ Ketel Marte after he was harassed

Arizona Diamondbacks fans cheer Ketel Marte at Chase Field on June 27, 2025, for the first time since he was harassed at a Chicago White Sox game.

A home owned by Arizona Diamondbacks All-Star second baseman Ketel Marte was burglarized in what Scottsdale police are calling a “high-dollar residential burglary.”

The investigation remained active.

Marte was in Atlanta for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 15, the same night police believe the burglary took place. The residence is near Shea Boulevard and 64th Street and is owned by Marte, according to Maricopa County Assessor’s Office records.

Police said the scene showed “signs of forced entry into the residence” with “numerous personal items and jewelry” stolen.

There was nobody home at the time of the crime.

Marte and the Diamondbacks return to action at Chase Field on Friday, July 18, against the St. Louis Cardinals.
