Shohei Ohtani slugged his fifth home run in a 3-for-5 outing as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 5-3 on Monday.
The reigning National League MVP led off with a single before Mookie Betts delivered a two-run shot to open the scoring in the bottom of the first inning at Dodger Stadium.

Ohtani led off the third with a solo bomb off a 2-2 four-seamer from Antonio Senzatela (0-3) that soared over the center-field wall.
He registered his third hit with an infield single in the sixth, then came home for his third run of the game on a Will Smith sacrifice fly for a 5-1 lead.
“I had a good view from the batter’s box and was moving comfortably inside it,” Ohtani said. “The most important thing is to continue feeling this way.”
Ohtani’s first multi-hit outing in four games lifted his batting average to .296.
