PERHAM – The Alexandria Junior Legion Black team is now in the elimination bracket of the Division I Junior Legion Tournament in Perham following a 4-0 loss to East Grand Forks Post 157 on Thursday, July 17.
A pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and the bottom of the sixth inning gave EGF the win.
Alexandria Black was held to two hits in the game. Derek Waltzing and Carter Athey had a hit apiece for Alexandria Black.
Alexandria Black takes on Fergus Falls in an elimination game at 12:15 p.m. on Friday at Krueger Field in Perham.

Alex Red’s season ends with losses to Fergus Falls, Moorhead
The Alexandria Soderholm Insurance Junior Legion Red team had its season end on Thursday in the D1 Sub-State F Tournament in Perham.
A 3-run fourth inning led Fergus Falls Junior Post 30 to a 4-1 win over Alexandria Red in the first game of the day.
Alexandria Red jumped out to 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning over the Moorhead Golds in an elimination game but Moorhead scored five unanswered runs over first three innings to get a 5-1 win.
Easton Castle had two hits and an RBI for Alexandria Red against Fergus Falls. Jackson Husfeldt had two hits and stole two bases for Alexandria Red against Moorhead.
Alexandria Red finishes the season with a 16-21-1 record.
