Bob Ide, Fox 56 Sports, He’s the number two prospect in the New York Yankees organization. He made his debut with Scranton Wilkes-Barre a couple weeks ago, and he’s tearing it up so far. Spencer Jones joins me once again. And Spencer, pick up our conversation from last night. So you’re up and you’re up in Scranton, right? Right now. But you were a pitcher in high school.

Ide asks , Do you miss pitching?

Spencer Jones, Railriders Outfielder says , “Not at all. I honestly don’t. I just I had a bad, bad luck with, injuries. And I have a lot of respect for the guys that are able to go out there, you know, every five days or every other night, go out there and throw some I physical capable doing. And I just feel like might just be better playing every day. “

Okay. We’re gonna do some quick questions now. You are from California, so I have to ask pizza California style or New York style?

Jones answers, “Would say New York style pizza for sure is probably wise right now since you’re going to be with the Yankees.

Ide says, But, And have you ever tried Old Forge pizza right here? Yeah. Has anybody brought it to you in the clubhouse?

Jones says “No, I haven’t, I haven’t tried Old Forge Pizza yet. I’ve heard, that was one of the first things I heard, actually, when I got here was you have to eat pizza. So, I mean, I’m gonna have to give it a test on the test. “

Ide asks, And what do you want on your tacos? Are being from California. Guy. You soft your hard tackle?

Jones responds, “I’m more like, I’m a big fan of soft shell tacos. I think the hard taco is compromise the structural integrity. If you take that first bite, you know, the bottom fall out. I’m gonna do about it.

But, yeah, I’m mostly with tacos. I’m pretty simple, you know, I like steak, like guacamole, cilantro, lime, that kind of thing. So keep it pretty simple. No good. Strong ingredients. Yeah.

Ide says, You played a Vanderbilt. So, barbecue. What do you like on your barbecue sandwich?

Jones says , ” Big brisket in brisket. Perfect.

Ide says , We love brisket, too. What do you want on that?

Jones answers, “Pretty simple. You know, I, I honestly just go straight for the brisket. I don’t need anything else on it. Usually when they’re, you know, it’s made. Right. You need any sauce. So that’s kind of how it goes. “

Ide asks Favorite Major league baseball team growing up,

Jones answers, “I grew up Padres. Okay? We grew up close to the ballpark, parents and have it on every night. So watch a lot. f Adrian Gonzalez and Jake Peavy and all those guys? Tony Gwynn. I was a little too young, too. Yeah, but you can’t be now all time. “

Jones says, “He’s a legend. Absolutely. So, yeah, Gwynn’s legacy is very strong.

Ide says , And there’s a lot of fans like to know superstitions. Before games have they stayed consistent?

Jones answers, ” You know, I don’t really get to superstitions. You know, I have my routine and things that I do every day. I don’t think twice about it. It’s not like I have to put on my left sock first, you know, it’s just like, I, I know what I need to do, and I get it down and I go out there. “

Ide says Finally, have you thought about what it will be like to play in Yankees Stadium the first time? Is there something you can even think about? Are you guys just going to take a day to day, maybe come back? Tell me the truth?

Jones answers, ” Yeah. It’s hard not to think about it sometimes. You know, your mind kind of wanders, whatever.

But at the end of the day, like, whatever happens, that’s when I’m there. It’ll be exciting. And I know my teammates will take care of me. It’ll be great, a great experience. “
