Royals get Adam Frazier in trade to Pittsburgh

  • July 18, 2025

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A contributor on the 2024 Royals will return to Kansas City for the second half of the 2025 season.

The Royals are acquiring utilityman Adam Frazier in exchange for infielder Cam Devanney.

Frazier carries a .255 batting average with three home runs and 21 RBI in his 2025 season. He has also swiped seven stolen bases and has an OPS of .654. He has made starts at second base, left field and right field for the Pirates this year.

The Royals had called up Devanney from Triple-A Omaha on July 8 after placing outfielder Mark Canha on the injured list.

Devanney starred for the Storm Chasers this season, hitting 18 home runs and driving in 55 RBI with a .272 average and .366 on-base percentage.
