The Ahnapee Trailblazers Legion American baseball team has entered the postseason on a winning note in walk-off fashion.
Ahnapee scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh Thursday to win its home game at Algoma’s Perry Field against Bonduel, 5-4.
The Trailblazers tied the game at 4-4 in the seventh inning when Jacob Massey doubled to drive in three runs. Massey, who advanced to third on a wild pitch, plated the winning run on a single by Jack Schwader.
Ahnapee began its rally in the final frame when Steven Prescott singled, followed by an infield hit by Siggy Hansen and a walk by Jonah Dahms.

The Trailblazers trailed 3-0 before scoring their first run in the bottom of the fifth when Massey, who ended up with 4 RBI, drove in Prescott. Bonduel added a run in the top of the seventh to extend its lead to 4-1, before Ahnapee rallied in the bottom of the inning to walk off the victory.
Prescott, Massey, Hansen, Dahms, Schwader and Jack Higginbotham each recorded one hit for the Trailblazers.
Massey pitched the first six innings for Ahnapee. He allowed three runs, one earned, on four hits with four walks while striking out seven. Schwader gave up a run while pitching in the seventh inning.
The Trailblazers will have a week off before hosting the AA Legion regional double-elimination tournament July 25-27 at Sturgeon Bay’s Memorial Field.
Ahnapee is scheduled to open the four-team tournament July 25 at 7:30 pm against Kewaunee County, following the first game between Ashwaubenon and Seymour at 5 pm.
