SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) — White Sox prospect and Springfield native Sam Antonacci is making strides in his baseball career as he heads to Double-A Birmingham.
The infielder has shown impressive performance with an .839 OPS, more walks than strikeouts, and 27 stolen bases during his time in High-A, marking his first full professional season.
Antonacci, who played for the Winston-Salem Dash, was recently named the White Sox minor league player of the month for June. This accolade was decided by a panel of Chicago-area media members.
Drafted 140th overall in the fifth round of the MLB draft in 2024, Antonacci has continued to impress in 2025. He is currently batting .291 with 69 hits, four home runs, 32 RBIs, and 27 stolen bases.
Antonacci is ranked as the White Sox’s 26th prospect.
