TAMPA – The Milwaukee Brewers seek to avoid being swept as they close out their three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays at George M. Steinbrenner Field on Sunday afternoon, May 11.
Milwaukee sends surprising rookie right-hander Chad Patrick (2-3, 3.08) to the mound to face Tampa Bay right-hander Drew Rasmussen (1-3, 3.09).
Rasmussen made his major-league debut with the Brewers in 2020 before being sent to the Rays in 2021 as part of the package that netted Milwaukee shortstop Willy Adames.
Tobias Myers sent to Nashville
The Brewers also made a somewhat surprising roster move Sunday morning, optioning right-hander Tobias Myers to Class AAA Nashville. Right-hander Elvis Peguero was recalled.
