Obviously, this means that Fritton will not be returning to Raleigh for his final year of eligibility, which was expected.

Fritton earned 3rd Team All-ACC honors this season, posting a 5-6 record with a 4.57 ERA. He struck out 107 batters in 86.2 innings, becoming the first Wolfpack pitcher to strike out 100+ batters in a single season since 2014 (Carlos Rodón).

In 2023, Fritton earned Freshman All-American and Freshman All-ACC honors, finishing with a 3-4 record, a 3.59 ERA, and 75 strikeouts in 62.2 innings.
