A dominant performance by pitcher Nolan Steidl anchored Parkers Prairie in a 6-0 win over Morris Post 29 on Saturday to advance to the Division I American Legion West Central Sub-State Final Four.

Steidl struck out eight batters in seven innings while walking no batters in a shutout win on July 19 in Parkers Prairie.

Mason Boesl knocked in the first run of the game in the bottom of the third inning on a sacrifice fly.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Ben Wagner knocked in a run on a fielder’s choice, then Benelli Myers hit an RBI single.

RBI singles by David Revering, Trevor Rounds, and Shane Hanson in the bottom of the fifth inning sealed Parkers Prairie’s 6-0 win.

Parkers Prairie plays in the West Central Sub-State Final Four on July 24-27, 2025.

Parkers Prairie plays at Glenwood-Lowry on Thursday at a time that’s yet to be determined.

The West Central Sub-State championship is set for July 27.

Glenwood-Lowry scores six unanswered to defeat Benson/Hancock

It was a 1-1 tie after the second inning, but Glenwood-Lowry scored six unanswered runs to defeat Benson/Hancock in a playoff game on Saturday and advance to the West Central Sub-State Final Four.

Glenwood-Lowry took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning on a Levi Johnson sacrifice fly. A Noah Jensen 2-RBI single and a Luke Danielson RBI single put Glenwood-Lowry up 5-1 after four innings.

A Miles Wildman RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning, and a run on a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the sixth sealed Glenwood-Lowry’s 7-1 win.

Alex Panitzke earned the win on the mound for Glenwood-Lowry, striking out five batters in seven innings.
