After their longest road trip of the season, the Dodgers return home for a nine-game homestand. Up first is a three-game series against the A’s beginning Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers starting pitcher is technically TBA, but Landon Knack is still active, earning an extended stay in the rotation after his five-plus scoreless innings on Wednesday in Miami. He’s in line to pitch Tuesday on five days rest, but whether he starts or faces an opener remains to be seen.
He’ll face an A’s lineup that is tied for seventh in the majors with 50 home runs entering Sunday, 29 of which have been hit on away from their temporary home stadium of Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento.
Left-hander Jeffrey Springs, who was acquired by the A’s from the Rays in December, starts Tuesday for the road team. He’s allowed two runs in 11 innings in his two May starts.
The Dodgers are 15-3 at Dodger Stadium this season, the best home record in the majors, compared to just 11-11 on the road entering Sunday.
