The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Edgardo Henriquez and designated right-handed pitcher Lou Trivino for assignment.

It was reported earlier that Henriquez had a locker in the Dodgers clubhouse, which indicated a roster move would be coming soon. Trivino appears to be the unlucky counterpart of Henriquez’s return to the big leagues.

Trivino last pitched for the Dodgers on Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers, where he allowed two earned runs on two hits with a strikeout across 0.1 inning. The right-hander is sporting a 4.42 ERA with 29 strikeouts and 1.371 WHIP across 38.2 innings pitched.

Trivino spent the beginning of the 2025 campaign with the San Francisco Giants, where he posted a 5.84 ERA with 11 strikeouts across 12.1 innings of work with the NL West rival.

Trivino was DFA’d by the Giants, cleared waivers, and elected free agency in May. He signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the Giants last offseason.

Henriquez produced a 2.70 ERA with five strikeouts and one save across 3.1 innings last season. The right-hander made his Major League debut with the Dodgers last September against the San Diego Padres.

With Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, Henriquez has a 5.89 ERA with 26 strikeouts across 18.1 innings pitched. The right-hander spent the last month in the minors after the Dodgers reinstated him from the injured list and optioned him to Triple-A.

Henriquez began the season on the IL with a broken foot, but is now slated to make his season debut with the Dodgers.
