After the game, manager Dave Roberts said Scott was likely going to be placed on the injured list.

While it’s possible he’s with the team on taxi squad, it’s more likely he’s replacing Scott on the active roster based on Roberts’ postgame comments.
Scott has had a trying year, sporting a 4.14 ERA with a league-high seven blown saves. He signed a four-year, $72 million deal this offseason after finishing the 2024 season with a 1.75 ERA across the Miami Marlins and San Diego Padres.
The Dodgers were already expected to be in the market for bullpen help ahead of next week’s trade deadline. If Scott is forced to miss significant time, that need will only be heightened.

As for Diaz, the 28-year-old was acquired by the Dodgers in May after getting demoted by the Cincinnati Reds earlier this season.
The former All-Star in 2023 had a 12.00 ERA in six appearances this season at the MLB level with Cincinnati. His struggles have continued in the minor leagues, sporting a 5.31 ERA across 22 Triple-A appearances with the Reds and Dodgers organizations.
At Triple-A Oklahoma City specifically, he has a 6.75 ERA over eight appearances with more walks (seven) than strikeouts (six).
