Colby Thomas Back Up in the Majors

Athletics outfield prospect Colby Thomas was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday. The corresponding move was Denzel Clarke being placed on the 10-day IL with a Grade 2 adductor strain. Thomas came up to the majors for a brief stint in early July, and had two hits in 15 at-bats. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a productive season with Triple-A Las Vegas, hitting .291/.366/.529 with 18 homers and seven stolen bases. There is some real appeal with Thomas as he has an intriguing blend of power and speed with the luxury of playing in one of the best hitter parks. There is some swing and miss, but he is worth targeting in deep leagues.–Kyle McCarthy
