SARTELL — The American Legion Division I Sub-State 11 baseball playoffs got under way on Monday, July 21, at St. Cloud Tech High School and Sartell’s St. Cloud Orthopedics Field.
In first-round games on Monday, Pierz downed Little Falls 4-3, Sartell beat Albany 16-4, Sauk Rapids rolled over the St. Cloud 76ers 11-2 and Willmar tripped up Cold Spring 4-1.
The tournament is double elimination. The championship round is slated for 5 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at St. Cloud Orthopedics Field in Sartell. If a second game is needed fpr the championship round, it would begin at 7 p.m. on Friday.
