Ethan Moore will play for Tennessee baseball, the switch-hitting shortstop told Knox News.

The infielder from Oak Park and River Forest High School in Illinois is the No. 93 overall prospect in the nation according to Perfect Game. He is ranked the No. 35 shortstop. MLB.com ranked him as the No. 100 prospect in the draft. Moore informed Knox News of his decision during Day 2 of the 2025 MLB Draft on July 14.

Moore was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 18th round with pick No. 534. He told Knox News that did not change his plans to enroll at UT.

He was the third Tennessee signee to choose to play for the Vols over the MLB Draft.

Elite catcher signee Trent Grindlinger opted to come to UT and star left-handed pitcher Cameron Appenzeller also chose to pitch for the Vols.

The 6-foot, 190-pound Moore flipped his commitment from Louisville in November following an official visit to UT in early November.

Tennessee had three players picked from its signing class.

Shortstop signees Steele Hall and Billy Carlson were selected in the first round. Hall was picked No. 9 by the Cincinnati Reds and Carlson was chosen No. 10 by the Chicago White Sox.

Pitcher Kruz Schoolcraft was taken No. 25 by the San Diego Padres in the first round.
