Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Robert Gasser will be promoted to advanced Class A Wisconsin for a one-inning outing July 24, the team said July 22.
Gasser is recovering from Tommy John surgery in June 2024. He began a minor-league rehab assignment July 19, pitching one inning for the Brewers’ Arizona Complex League team.

He’s scheduled to start for the Timber Rattlers on July 24 against the Quad Cities River Bandits in Davenport, Iowa.
The Timber Rattlers said Gasser could start two games when the team plays at home in Grand Chute next week against the Lake County Captains.
He’s expected to return to the Brewers by late August.
In his fifth start in the majors, Gasser tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow, requiring Tommy John surgery that ended his season. In 28 innings, Gasser went 2-0 and had a 2.57 ERA and allowed just one walk, making him the first pitcher since 1966 to throw at least 25 innings with no more than one walk in his first five career games.
