The 3B Barons wrapped up the regular season on Sunday with a doubleheader loss.

The Pittsburgh Redbirds bested the Barons, 5-2, in the first game of the nondivision contest.

Braden Zeigler and Josh Reed batted in one run each for the 3B Barons.

The Barons’ Tyson Djakovich took the loss on the hill. Djakovich pitched five innings and surrendered three hits, three runs — two earned — and recorded two walks and three strikeouts.

In the first game, the Redbirds plated one run in the first inning, one in the second, one in the third and two in the sixth. The Barons scored one run in the first and one run in the sixth.

The Pittsburgh Redbirds won the second game of the doubleheader, 4-2.

Ethan Adams recorded a double and the lone RBI for the Barons.

The 3B Barons’ Nick Parrotto took the loss on the hill. Parrotto pitched three innings and gave up four hits, three runs — two earned — and had two walks and four strikeouts.

In the second game, the Pittsburgh Redbirds scored three runs in the second inning and one in the seventh. The Barons plated both of its runs in the sixth inning.

• On Saturday, the Barons split a Rust Belt Division doubleheader against the Allegheny A’s.

The Barons bested the A’s in the first game, 9-5. Kallen Durbin paced the Barons with three RBIs and a triple.

The Barons’ AJ Verdi recorded two RBIs, while teammates Tommy Koroly, Jake Robinson and Ben Miller posted one RBI apiece.

Reed picked up the win on the mound for the Barons after relieving Zach McLean. Reed pitched a one-inning no-hitter.

In the first game, the Barons scored one run in the first inning, two in the third and six in the fifth inning. Allegheny scored four runs in the first inning and one in the third.

The 3B Barons dropped the second game of the doubleheader against Allegheny, 14-9.

The Barons’ Zachary Tkatch took the loss on the mound. Tkatch pitched 2 2/3 innings and relinquished nine hits, 10 runs — all earned — and recorded three walks and two strikeouts.

Reed and Verdi recorded three RBIs apiece for the Barons. Miller, Robinson and Damarian Young batted in one runner each for the 3B Barons.

In the second game, the A’s plated four runs in the first inning, six in the third, one in the sixth and three in the seventh. The 3B Barons scored one run in the first, three in the fifth and five in the seventh.
