Former Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels, a World Series MVP and franchise legend, recently made a surprise stop at the Jersey Shore.
After dining on some food, hopefully their famous peach sundae, he posed for a photo with the excited staff.

Cole Hamels was a starting pitcher for the Phillies 2008 World Series Champions, winning MVP honors in both the NLCS and World Series.
Hamels’ most memorable season came in 2008, when he led the Phillies to just their second World Series title.

But recently, he was spotted down at the Jersey Shore at the Kessel’s Korner, a popular spot at 2760 Asbury Avenue in Ocean City, NJ for breakfast, their famous peach sundae, cheesesteaks and burgers.Â
On Sunday, Kessel’s Korner posted a photo of Hamels alongside staff who were tickled by his appearance.

Hamels is now a part time member of the Phillies broadcast team on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
He finished his 10-year Phillies career with 114 wins, a 3.30 ERA, 1.145 WHIP, 1844 strikeouts in 1930 innings pitched.
Hamels may no longer be on the mound, but his connection with Phillies fans remains as strong as ever, regardless if it in the broadcast booth, or down the Shore!
