Naamans completed a perfect run through the East Regional to advance to the Junior League Baseball World Series with a 7-3 victory over Pennsylvania Thursday afternoon.
Nick Rubino earned the win on the mound, allowing just one earned run and three hits in 5 innings of work.
Joe Ricciardi went 2-for-3 with three RBIs including a double. while Mason McAllister drove in a pair of runs.
Naamans won all 5 of their games in the tournament by a combined 50-9.
It marks Delaware’s first appearance in the Junior League Baseball World Series since Newark National, comprised of many players who were on the 2013 Little League World Series team, played in the 2014 event.
This year’s Junior League Baseball World Series is August 3-10 in Taylor, Michigan.
