OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Creighton dropped the finale of its final home series of the regular season against Xavier 4-2 Sunday afternoon at Charles Schwab Field.
Longtime head coach Ed Servais was honored before and after the game in his final home appearance. Servais, who announced his retirement last summer, has led the Bluejays for 22 seasons and been with the program since joining as an assistant in 1998.
The loss moved Creighton to 34-14 overall and 14-4 in the Big East, while Xavier improved to 30-23 and 14-7 in conference play.
Creighton wraps up its non-conference schedule with a Tuesday night matchup against Omaha at 6 p.m. Servais will meet with the media to discuss his final home stand Monday.
