KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – In early April, one of the Royals’ top relievers was sent to the injured list. More than three months later, Hunter Harvey is returning to the big leagues.
Harvey suffered a right teres major strain on April 8. He was then transferred to the 60-day injured list shortly after.
The right-handed reliever had a stellar start to the season, tossing 5 1/3 scoreless frames across six games.
The Royals acquired Harvey in a trade with the Washington Nationals on July 14, 2024. He missed time due to injury during the 2024 season as well.

In a corresponding move, the Royals sent reliever Jonathan Bowlan back to Triple-A Omaha. The team also designated utility player Cavan Biggio for assignment.
The Royals begin a three-game series Friday with the Cleveland Guardians.
