Louisville Bats infielder Sal Stewart doesn’t turn 22 years old until December. But he’s already got Cincinnati Reds fans dreaming about when he’ll reach the big-league level because of nights like July 26.

Stewart, who ranks No. 2 among MLB Pipeline’s top Reds’ prospects and 40th in MLB, was 4-for-4 with two home runs and a double in an 11-9 loss to the Iowa Cubs.

The effort raised Stewart’s batting average to .281 in 32 plate appearances over eight games since he was promoted from Double-A Chattanooga to Triple-A Louisville.

Stewart and catcher Alfredo Duno were the two Reds’ minor-leaguers named to the 2025 MLB All-Star Futures Game.

The Reds selected Stewart in the first round of the 2022 MLB draft. Defensively, he has split time between second and third base.
