The Los Angeles Dodgers are getting bullpen reinforcements for their series finale against the Boston Red Sox Sunday.

The Dodgers have activated Blake Treinen off the injured list, and recalled Justin Wrobleski.

In a corresponding move, the Dodgers have sent down relievers Edgardo Henriquez and Will Klein to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Treinen was initially placed on the 15-day injured list in April with forearm tightness, but the Dodgers transferred the star reliever to the 60-day IL in May.

Manager Dave Roberts revealed the Dodgers were in no rush to bring Treinen back since the ultimate goal was to have the right-hander for the second half of the season.

“I think with Blake (Treinen), just appreciating the fact that we’re going to need him in the second half and beyond, we have time so take the time that way when he gets back, we can just go from there and not look back,” Roberts said in May.

Now, the Dodgers get back one of their biggest bullpen stars with Treinen’s arrival to Boston. The right-hander is sporting a 3.38 ERA with 10 strikeouts across eight innings pitched this season.

In 2024, Treinen played a key role for the Dodgers as he posted an ERA of 1.93 with 56 strikeouts across 46.2 innings of work.

Wrobleski is sporting a 4.50 ERA in the big leagues with 40 strikeouts in 40 innings of work this season. He has mainly served as a bulk arm out of the bullpen this year, but made his 2025 debut as a starter when the Dodgers’ rotation was short-handed.
