FAMILY. FOUR YEARS AFTER HER SON MO GABBY’S DEATH, SONG Z GABBA STANDS ON MO GABBA WAY ALONGSIDE MO’S LONGTIME TEACHER. THEY STICK PIECES OF MO’S FAVORITE POSITIVE PHRASES ON THE SIGN POST, A REMINDER OF WHAT MO MEANT TO THIS COMMUNITY. HE MEANT TOGETHERNESS AND PEACE AND POSITIVITY. THAT WAS THE MOST BIGGEST THING IS LIKE HE JUST WANTED EVERYBODY TO BE POSITIVE AND JUST KEEP GOING. NO MATTER WHATEVER YOUR STRUGGLE WAS. AND MO KNEW WHAT IT MEANT TO STRUGGLE, HE LOST HIS EYESIGHT BEFORE HE TURNED ONE AND LOST HIS FOURTH AND FINAL BATTLE WITH CANCER BACK IN 2020. IN MO’S 14 YEARS OF LIFE, HE INSPIRED MANY. HE WAS ORIOLES AND RAVENS SUPERFAN AND BECAME A BELOVED VOICE ON SPORTS RADIO. HE BECAME THE FIRST PERSON TO READ AN NFL DRAFT PICK IN BRAILLE, AND HE IS ALSO PART OF THE ORIOLES HALL OF FAME. SO MANY FEEL HIS LOSS, BUT NONE MORE THAN HIS MOTHER. I MISS MY SON AND I JUST CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S BEEN FOUR YEARS SINCE THE LORD TOOK HIM AWAY FROM ME. BUT ON THE FOURTH ANNIVERSARY OF MO’S DEATH, HIS MOM IS FOCUSED ON KEEPING HIS LEGACY ALIVE. SHE IS STARTING THE MO GABBA FOUNDATION TO HELP FAMILIES STRUGGLING WITH SICK KIDS AND LOSS. THE BALTIMORE COMMUNITY IS COMING TOGETHER TO HELP HER WITH THAT MISSION. SUNDAY PICKETT BREWING COMPANY HOSTED A MO LOVE CELEBRATION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FROM BALTIMORE WITH LOVE. A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THE BEER SALES AND FROM BALTIMORE WITH LOVES NEW MO LOVE LINE WILL GO TOWARDS THE MO GABBA FOUNDATION. WE HAVE BIG GAME DAY CROWDS HERE FOR ORIOLES AND RAVENS, AND HE WAS ONE OF THEIR SUPER FANS. SO WE’RE JUST HONORED TO BE A PART OF IT. JUST TO CELEBRATE HIS LIFE AND LEGACY AND MEMORY AND TO BE CONNECTED DIRECTLY WITH THE FAMILY. WE FEEL LIKE IT’S A BEAUTIFUL THING, A BEAUTIFUL THING, A BEAUTIFUL CELEBRATION FILLED WITH LOVE, HUGS, POSITIVITY AND A WHOLE LOT OF O’S PRIDE. A REMINDER OF ALL THAT MO MEANT TO THIS COMMUNITY AND KNOWING THAT BALTIMORE IS SHOWING UP. IT. I CAN’T PUT IT INTO WORDS WHAT IT MEANS TO US. IT MAKES IT MAKES MY HEART SMILE. BECAUSE THE THING IS, EVEN THOUGH HE’S BEEN GONE AGAIN FOR FOUR YEARS NOW, THE LOVE HASN’T CHANGED. THE MO LOVE CAMPAIGN IS AN ONGOING CAMPAIGN TO HELP SUPPORT THE MO GABBA FOUNDATION.
