Just a day after White Sox and Phillies legend Dick Allen was posthumously enshrined into the Hall of Fame, the two teams meet for the first time this season.

Shane Smith threw a bullpen today. Went great, per the team . No rehab assignment. Plan is for him to accompany the team to west coast with expectation that he’ll be activated at some point on the trip.

Davis Martin (2-8) will start tonight for the White Sox. He had a rough outing upon his return from the IL, allowing three earned runs and four walks in five innings. He’ll be looking to bounce back.
Cristopher Sánchez (9-2) will be on the mound for the Phillies. Sánchez owns a respectable 2.40 ERA and 134 strikeouts, so expect a lot of those tonight.
