We’re trying something new tonight as the Colorado Rockies’ first game against the Cleveland Guardians has been delayed due to rain.

All weather delay updates will be posted here. If/when the game resumes, the game thread will be pushed back to the front on our home page.

Update [3:32 PM MDT]: Per Rockies writer Kevin Henry, who is with the team in Cleveland, the tarp is currently out at Progressive Field due to rain in the area.

Update [3:57 PM MDT]: Kevin Henry announced that the start of the game would be delayed due to rain.

Update [3:59 PM MDT]: The Cleveland Guardians have confirmed a rain delay while announcing their starting lineup.

Update [4:44 PM MDT]: Kevin Henry states that it is still raining heavily in Cleveland. Radar shows the rain might let up around 6:30 PM MDT.
