Vanderbilt baseball saw seven current players and six signees selected in the 2025 MLB Draft.
With the signing deadline passing on July 28, all of the current players and five of the six signees signed professional contracts. The one player who didn’t sign was right-handed pitcher Connor Hamilton, an incoming freshman who was14th-round pick of the Pirates.
Signees Sean Gamble, Slater de Brun, Cooper Flemming and Seth Hernandez all signed deals with seven-figure signing bonuses. Talon Haley became the first Commodores signee to sign an MLB draft deal out of high school worth less than $1 million since Blaine McIntosh in 2019.
Vanderbilt also saw two current players sign as undrafted free agents: Jacob Humphrey with the Rockies and Tommy O’Rourke with the Yankees.
