MINNEAPOLIS — If you go simply at the data — and that’s indeed how almost everything is judged in baseball these days — the Red Sox’ bullpen performance has been among the best in the game this season.

After night’s 8-5 victory over the Minnesota Twins Tuesday night at Target Field, Red Sox relievers have compiled a 3.37 ERA. That ranks them second in the American League, behind only the Texas Rangers, and fourth overall in MLB, behind Texas, and San Francisco and San Diego
