The 2026 MLB Draft is underway on the MLB Network, and very shortly, we’ll know where a number of Tennessee Vols will be heading to begin their professional careers.

Keep it locked here, as this tracker will be updated regularly with new selections.

Liam Doyle – Round 1, pick 5, St. Louis Cardinals

Mocked by some as high as #2 to the Angels, Doyle is heading to the Gateway to the West and the Redbirds.

At #5, Doyle becomes the highest pick during Tony Vitello’s tenure. He’s also the highest pick for a Vol since Nick Senzel went #2 overall in 2016.

Gavin Kilen – Round 1, pick 13, San Francisco Giants

Kilen had been projected by many pundits to land with the Boston Red Sox – the team who drafted him in 2022 in the 13th round – at pick #15, but the San Francisco Giants had other plans before that could happen, snaring the Vols infielder with the 13th pick.

ESPN predicts Kilen as a second basemen for the Giants based on his arm.

Andrew Fischer – Round 1, pick 20, Milwaukee Brewers

Fischer turned in a terrific season for Tennessee, leading the Vols in home runs (25), RBIs (68), slugging percentage (.760), walks (63), and total bases (163) and leading the starters in OPS (1.257) and on base percentage (.497). Just a remarkable offense output in 2025.

He goes to Milwaukee where he’ll team up with the Vols’ previous power-hitting first baseman in Blake Burke.

Marcus Phillips – Competitive Balance Round A, pick 33, Boston Red Sox

Phillips had been projected by some as a competitive balance round player, and that’s where he ended up, going to the BoSox with the 33rd overall pick in the competitive balance round A following the first 30 picks.

While Phillips has plenty to work on, particularly in the running game, his physical tools and arm are worthy of the pick. We’ll see of Phillips can eventually work his way up and join fellow former Vol Garrett Crochet in Boston.

Second round

52) AJ Russell, Texas Rangers

64) Dean Curley, Cleveland Guardians

72) Tanner Franklin, St. Louis

Third round

105) Nate Snead, LA Angels
