The Dodgers are losing just one player in Feduccia, who is the team’s No. 3 catcher on the 40-man roster behind Will Smith and Dalton Rushing. Feduccia has appeared in just seven career games in MLB, going 4-for-14 with an OPS of .697.

This year in Triple-A, he hit .287 with nine home runs, 51 RBIs and an OPS of .858. He wasn’t going to get any playing time for LA barring an injury to Smith or Rushing.

As for the return:

Who is Paul Gervase?

Gervase, 25, appears to be the only player who can currently help the Dodgers in this deal.

The former 12th-round pick of the New York Mets in 2022 has thrown just 6.1 innings at the MLB level, sporting a 4.26 ERA. However, in Triple-A this year, he made 28 appearances, accruing a 3.12 ERA with 63 strikeouts over 40.1 innings pitched.

Who is Ben Rortvedt?

Rortvedt, 27, appeared in 26 games at the MLB level this season, hitting .095 with an OPS of .297. He’s made 209 career appearances at the MLB level, hitting .186 with an OPS of .540.

The former second-round pick by the Minnesota Twins in 2016 will provide the Dodgers some catching depth in the organization.

Who is Adam Serwinowski?

As for Serwinowski, he’s just 21 years old and was a 12th-round pick of the Reds in 2022. Across 18 appearances (17 starts) in High-A this season, he has a 4.84 ERA with 92 strikeouts across 74.1 innings pitched.

He is a few years away from potentially helping the Dodgers, but gives them another arm to work with and try to develop. He was the Reds’ No. 10 prospect, per MLB Pipeline.
