The Astros’ monster deadline may not be finished. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that Houston is “working hard” to try to land Dylan Cease. Jon Heyman of The New York Post writes that talks between the clubs are “progressing” and suggests the Astros could try to get a reliever in the deal as well. There’s no suggestion an agreement has been reached nor that a trade is inevitable, but Houston certainly appears to be trying to get another massive deal over the finish line.
