NEW YORK (PIX11) — The New York Yankees have traded for reliever Camilo Doval just before the clock struck 6 p.m. EST on the MLB trade deadline.

The deal was reported minutes before the deadline hit on Thursday for the All-Star closer of the San Francisco Giants.

Yankees add Jake Bird from Colorado as another bullpen arm

Doval, 28, has a career 3.29 ERA in 268 career innings pitched for the Giants. In 47 appearances in 2025, Doval has collected 15 saves and 50 strikeouts.

To acquire Doval, the Yankees gave up Trystan Vrieling, Jesus Rodriguez, Parks Harber and Carlos De La Rosa.

Vrieling, New York’s No. 20 prospect on MLB.com, is a right-handed pitcher who has made 12 starts for Double-A Somerset, pitching to a 4.36 ERA in 2025. Rodriguez, a 23-year-old catcher with Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes-Barre, has played in the Yankees organization for seven years and amassed a career .395 OBP.

Harber, 23, has seven home runs and a .305 batting average with the High-A Hudson Valley Rangers. De La Rosa is 17 years old and is pitching in the Dominican Summer League.
