DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers targeted pitching at the trade deadline, but instead of aiming for one big splash, they opted to throw a handful of pebbles across the pond.
The Tigers went quantity, but that doesn’t mean they skimped on quality, said Scott Harris, the Tigers’ president of baseball operations.
