The Pittsburgh Pirates were in need of several replacements following Thursday’s trade deadline, and those roster moves were announced prior to Friday’s game against the Colorado Rockies.

The Pirates reinstated left-handed reliever Ryan Bourcki from the 15-day injured list and recalled right-handers Thomas Harrington and Kyle Nicolas and infielder Jared Triolo from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Bourcki, who was placed on the IL on June 21 with low back inflammation, recorded a combined 1.23 ERA and 10 strikeouts in seven appearances (one start) on rehab with Low-A Bradenton and Triple-A Indianapolis. In 29 appearances with the Pirates this season, Borucki went 1-3 with a 5.26 ERA prior to getting hurt.

Harrington had a stint with the Pirates earlier in the season and allowed nine runs on 11 hits in eight innings across a pair of appearances. In 19 appearances/18 starts with Indianapolis, the right-hander went 7-8 with a 5.48 ERA.

This will be the third stint with the Pirates this season for Nicolas, who combined for a 7.50 ERA across 10 big-league appearances. Nicolas went 2-2 with five saves and a 3.79 ERA in 30 appearances with Triple-A.

Triolo cracked the Pirates’ Opening Day roster but was optioned to Triple-A on July 11. In 55 games with Pittsburgh on the season, he slashed .158/.253/.266 with six doubles, three triples and 10 RBI. He totaled seven defensive runs saved between four positions.
