Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. will not play in the MLB Speedway Classic against the Cincinnati Reds at Bristol Motor Speedway on Aug. 2 due to a right Achilles injury.

Acuña left with the injury in the sixth inning of the Braves’ 9-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals on July 29. He was placed on the 10-day injury list on July 30 with what the Braves labeled right Achilles tendon inflammation. He gingerly chased a fly ball in the sixth inning against the Royals before leaving the game.
