The Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds will play in front of what is being billed as the largest crowd ever to watch an MLB regular-season game in the MLB Speedway Classic on August 2 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

More than 85,000 tickets have been sold for Saturday’s game, MLB announced earlier this week.

Atlanta (46-63) has had a very disappointing 2025 season, with injuries depleting the rotation and ineffectiveness sapping the lineup especially in the bottom half of the order. 2023 NL MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. has also been in and out of the lineup with multiple injuries.

Cincinnati (58-53) is in the wild-card hunt, three games behind San Diego for the final wild-card spot. Elly De La Cruz has had a breakout season at the plate, while the Reds’ rotation has been solid all year.
