Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz is the first Major League Baseball player since 1900 to record 115 extra-base hits and stolen bases through his first 300 games.

De La Cruz’s achievement was mentioned during the Reds’ series finale Sunday against the Houston Astros. The Reds tweeted it Monday.

De La Cruz, who turned 23 in January, has hit 56 doubles, 17 triples and 44 home runs with 116 stolen bases over parts of three seasons with the Reds.

This season, he’s batting .244 with five doubles, six homers and 14 stolen bases in 42 games.

Earlier this season, Codify tweeted that De La Cruz was just the 9th player since 1988 to have two homers, four hits, seven RBIs and a stolen base in a single MLB game.
