Left-hander Jackson Wolf continues to roll, as the left-hander did not allow an earned run in his start. Wolf was charged with three unearned runs in 4.2 innings of work, striking out three batters. Wolf went back to leading with his cutter, throwing it for strikes 70% of the time and setting up a plethora of whiffs on his secondaries. Manuel Castro struck out two in 1.1 innings of work, earning the win. Bryan Hoeing tossed two innings of scoreless relief, striking out one batter, and Sean Reynolds closed out the win with a scoreless ninth.

Clay Dungan was back in the leadoff spot, reaching base three times and driving in a run on a double. Rodolfo Duran and Mason McCoy each finished with two base hits; for Duran, it was his third consecutive multi-hit game. Luis Campusano had two hits and two RBI in the game, playing a solid first base. Yonathan Perlaza had a sacrifice fly in the game, reaching base twice.
San Antonio Missions (Lost 3-1 vs Frisco) (52-48 on the season)
Kai Murphy – 2-for-4, Two Singles
Francisco Acuna – 0-for-3, RBI Walk
Jagger Haynes – 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 0 K (43 pitches – 22 strikes)
Left-hander Jagger Haynes labored through two innings of work, stranding the bases loaded in the second. Haynes did not look like his usual self, and prior to the third inning, Haynes was pulled due to injury. The Missions’ bullpen, which used four relievers on Thursday, was forced to use four relievers again. J.B. Wendelken threw 2.2 innings of one-run baseball, and Jose Geraldo threw 1.1 innings. Geraldo allowed two runs on two hits, striking out two. Austin Krob, one of four players assigned to San Antonio on Friday, tossed a scoreless inning. Ethan Routzahn struck out two in one inning of work. <

The Missions were only able to muster one run against Frisco’s pitching staff. Kai Murphy had two singles in the ballgame, the only Missions batter with a two-hit game. Anthony Vilar, Jacob Campbell, and Albert Fabian all had one hit in the game, with Fabian drawing two walks. Francisco Acuna had one walk, but it came with the bases loaded, driving in a run.
Fort Wayne TinCaps (Lost 9-2 vs Great Lakes) (48-51 on the season)
Ryan Jackson – 2-for-4, Two Singles, Run Scored
Rosman Verdugo – 2-for-4, RBI Single
Isaiah Lowe – 5 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 BB, 4 K (92 pitches – 51 strikes)
A depleted TinCaps lineup struggled in their Friday night game against the visiting Loons. Isaiah Lowe gutted out five innings, striking out four batters. Loons’ batters were sitting dead-red, though, as he was only able to generate three ground ball outs; eight outs against him came in the air. Nick Wissman tossed a scoreless sixth with two strikeouts, his submarine delivery proving confusing for batters after Lowe. Eiker Huizi struggled mightily in his outing, allowing three hits, three walks, and five earned runs, recording only one out. Misael Tamarez ended the inning with no further damage. Luis German tossed 1.2 innings of relief, and with the score 9-2, infielder Chase Valentine made his return to Fort Wayne with one out recorded on the mound.
The lineup, now without Brandon Butterworth and Leo De Vries, rallied in the sixth inning. After being unable to generate much traction in the first five innings, Ryan Jackson and Kai Roberts drew walks against Loons fireballer Reynaldo Yean, and Rosman Verdugo lined a single to left to score a run. Braedon Karpathios drew a walk, and one out later, Kaden Hollow drew a bases-loaded walk. With the bases loaded and with new pitcher Joseilyn Gonzalez on the mound, Sean Barnett put a charge into one, sending it to right field, but the ball did not carry enough, falling in the glove of Eduardo Quintero. The ‘Caps loaded the bases in the seventh inning, but a Rosman Verdugo ground ball led to an inning-ending double play. Double plays were the TinCaps’ undoing, as they grounded into a twin killing in each of the final three innings.
Lake Elsinore Storm (Won 3-2 vs Inland Empire) (47-53 on the season)
Cardell Thibodeaux – 2-for-5, Two Singles, Two RBI
Kerrington Cross – 1-for-3, Single, Walk, Run Scored
Maikel Miralles – 4.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 3 K (74 pitches – 43 strikes)
A trio of Padres draftees joined the Storm on Friday and were instrumental in the Storm’s 3-2 win. Dylan Grego led off at shortstop, notching his first professional hit in the game. Third baseman Kerrington Cross had one hit and a walk, scoring a run in the game. Center fielder Cardell Thibodeaux had two hits in his pro debut, with each hit driving in a run. Thibodeaux’s fifth-inning single scored a run for the Storm. Kale Fountain reached base on a throwing error in the eighth inning, which allowed Kerrington Cross to score from third.

Maikel Miralles struck out three batters in 4.2 innings of work. The right-hander was effective, allowing only four hits and two runs, but his command was not as strong as in his last outing (6 IP, 0 ER). Miralles walked three batters, but only one of those came around to score. Winyer Chourio made his Single-A debut, notching a strikeout in 1.1 innings. Johan Moreno struck out four in two innings of relief, and Igor Gil tossed a scoreless ninth to send the game to the bottom of the ninth tied.
B.Y. Choi and Ryan Wilson led off the inning with walks, and Dylan Grego grounded a ball back to the pitcher. 66ers reliever Benny Thompson threw the ball wide of third, allowing all three runners to be safe. With the bases loaded and no outs, Cardell Thibodeaux hit a single to right to win the game.

Eduarlin Tejeda – 2-for-3, RBI Single
Isaac Ponce – 1-for-4. RBI Double
Raymel Belliard – 3.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 1 K
Raymel Belliard allowed three runs in 3.2 innings of relief, striking out only one batter. Five of his 11 outs recorded came in the air, and Wuinder Torres gave Belliard all sorts of trouble, driving in two runs against him. Miguel Alvarez allowed a run in 1.1 innings, and Jose Blanco struck out one in three innings of shutout relief. Issac Ponce had an RBI double in the first inning, one of three for the Padres Gold. Eduarlin Tejeda had two hits, a double and an RBI single. Kevin Tamburini had a double and scored on a bases-loaded walk by Yorvin Morla. Darian Castillo had a pinch-hit single in the ninth, but was picked off as the tying run.
DSL Padres Brown (Lost 13-0 vs DSL Astros Blue) (17-25 on the season)
Sebastian Pena – 1-for-2, Single, Walk
Clay Winklaar – 1-for-2, Single
Kelvin Marte – 3 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 3 BB, 2 K
Kelvin Marte tossed three innings, allowing four runs as the Padres Brown were shut out 13-0. Marte allowed four runs on three hits and three walks, striking out only two. Wilkins Matos was knocked around for five runs, walking four and recording only two outs in the game. Gensy Aquino walked four and allowed four runs (three earned) in 1.2 innings. Kaden Hernandez struck out two in mop-up duty. Sebastian Pena was one of three Padres with base hits. Clay Winklaar and Abraham Bastidas had base hits as well, and while the Padres Brown got runners on base, they went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position, stranding five.
