CINCINNATI (WKRC) — The Cincinnati Reds have announced plans to honor “The Hit King,” Pete Rose, with a special event at Great American Ball Park.
The team will host “Pete Rose Night” on Wednesday, May 14, in recognition of Rose’s iconic number.
The pregame ceremonies are set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a Q&A session with Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman serving as the emcee. Former teammates, including George Foster, Ken Griffey Sr., Eric Davis, and Barry Larkin, are expected to share stories and memories of Rose.
Fans attending the event will receive a replica jersey modeled after the road uniform from the Big Red Machine era.
