Taylor Ward has been the driving force behind the Halos’ offense this season. The veteran slugger leads the club with 26 homers and 82 RBIs, putting him among the league’s top 10 in both categories. Nolan Schanuel has quietly posted a team-best .279 batting average, even though his power numbers lag behind. Zach Neto is also heating up, hitting .278 over his last five games with two doubles, a homer, and five RBIs. Jo Adell brings the long-ball threat too, contributing 21 home runs despite a lower batting average.
The Angels will send southpaw Yusei Kikuchi to the hill. The 34-year-old lefty has been solid at home this year, going 4-2 with a sharp 2.48 ERA in 12 starts at Angel Stadium. Overall, he owns a 3.30 ERA across 23 outings, although his 1.42 WHIP suggests he’s had to pitch around traffic. In his last start, Kikuchi gave up three earned runs on 10 hits over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against Texas.

Tampa Bay will counter with recently acquired right-hander Adrian Houser, who’s been quietly dominant since joining the rotation. The veteran boasts a 2.10 ERA and a 6-2 record in 11 starts. Yandy Díaz continues to be a rock in the Rays’ lineup. The first baseman is hitting .282 with 20 home runs and 36 walks, and he ranks among the top 30 hitters in both homers and RBIs across the majors. Junior Caminero, however, has been the true spark plug for Tampa, pacing the team with 28 homers and 72 RBIs, both of which land him in the top tier of MLB power producers. Brandon Lowe has also chipped in with 19 round-trippers of his own while hitting .271. And don’t overlook Chandler Simpson, who’s quietly batting .297 with sneaky speed and gap power.
