Alexandria, VA – The Alexandria Aces reached a new milestone during the 2025 MLB Draft as seven of the team’s former players were selected—setting a franchise record and surpassing the previous high of five draft picks in 2019.

Among those selected was James Quinn-Irons of George Mason University, picked in the fifth round (147th overall) by the Tampa Bay Rays. Quinn-Irons led the Aces in RBIs, doubles, and walks during the 2024 season.

Alexandria native Ryan Osinski, a University of Virginia alum, was chosen in the 17th round (524th overall) by the New York Yankees. Osinski played a key role in the Aces’ 2022 Cal Ripken League championship run, finishing the season with a perfect 4–0 record and 36 strikeouts.

Other Aces alumni selected included Colton Book (Chicago Cubs, 9th round), Cameron Keshock (Pittsburgh Pirates, 12th round), Dylan Grego (San Diego Padres, 13th round), Jacob Hartlaub (Tampa Bay Rays, 14th round), and Sam Robertson (New York Mets, 17th round).

With this latest group, the total number of Aces alumni drafted into Major League Baseball reaches 50—averaging nearly three draft picks per season since the team’s founding in 2008.
