DJ LeMahieu is making his return. Aaron Boone told reporters that the Yankees would activate the 36-year-old infielder tomorrow, with his first start of the season likely coming on Wednesday afternoon in Seattle.

But with LeMahieu, how long that return will last is always a question. He’s been dealing with some sort of injury seemingly for three years running, and at this point, it’s fair to wonder whether we’re nearing “Aaron Hicks DFA territory” with LeMahieu. This time around, it’s a calf injury that sidelined LeMahieu in spring training, but he looks to be healthy as he dons the pinstripes once more.

As he makes another injury comeback, how much longer do you envision LeMahieu remaining with the Yankees?

If this go-round goes poorly, it’s not hard to imagine this being LeMahieu’s last ride with the club. To his credit, he did rake in a brief rehab assignment, compiling a .444/.500/.593 line across nine games in the minors. Maybe, just maybe, this is the time LeMahieu can make his comeback stick and become a contributor once more. What do you think? Is LeMahieu back, or is this his final stand?
